Peck Park Community Center

Peck Park is one of the larger parks located in San Pedro. There are three play structures in the main park area, with one being perfect for toddlers. Peck Park Pool is one of the few pools open to the public in this area. Get a discount on the already low entrance fee by showing your library card. There is a large auditorium that houses meetings for various organizations, classes for everyone, and special park events. A computer lab with internet access is open to the public and FREE. Walking trails crisscross the small creek that runs through the canyon behind the recreation center, and the large grassy areas are perfect to hold picnics and other events.

Peck Park is home to an Auditorium, Picnic Tables, Barbecue Pits, Baseball Diamonds (lighted), Basketball Courts (lighted/indoor/outdoor), Children’s Play Area, Football Field (lighted), six Tennis Courts, Meeting Rooms, Party Rooms and more. For a reservation please contact the Facility Office during normal hours.

Peck ParkPeck Park staff, instructors and volunteers offer a variety of programs and activities for the community. There are After School Programs, Tutoring, Youth Science, Exploration Learning Friendship (ELF) Preschool Program, Summer and Seasonal Day Camps and more. They offer seasonal sports for girls, boys, men and women, for instance flag football, baseball, softball, basketball, t-ball and Lil’ Jammers. Senior clubs meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with various activities, bingo, and basketball. Peck Park Advisory Board (PAB) meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in Clubroom A. All PAB meetings are open to the public.

Computer Lab: Peck Park is proud to be one of the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) Sites to provide local internet and computer access for free to the public.

Adult Basketball: Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 am till 9:00 am the Gym is open for registered Adults to play pickup basketball games. Registration is only $30 per month. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7:00 am till 9:00 am the Gym is open for Seniors to play pickup basketball games. Registration is only $30 per month. The Adult Basketball League meets on Sunday at 10:00 am to play team basketball.

Fall Colors in Peck ParkAfter School Program: After the regular school hours Peck Park will pick up your child and bring them to the After School Program for homework help, socialization and fun in a supervised environment. Hours are After School until 6pm. The Afterschool program is $200 per month. Weekly and daily rates are also available.

Pool: This is a Year Round Pool (outdoor/heated). Special programs that are offered include Los Angeles City Lifeguard Pre-Academy Training (LAC-PAT), Junior Lifeguard Training Program, adult lap swimming, and team sports in Water Polo and Synchronized Swimming. Swim lessons offered include group, private, and semi-private options. Peck also offers an Aquacise program for adults and seniors all year long. The pool is heated to a comfortable 84 degrees.
