Requesting volunteers to help revitalize the Vic and Bonnie Christensen Science Center. We need your support in clearing pathways and weeds (you can pick cotton, too). Light snacks (fruit, cookies) and ice water will be provided. We need and appreciate all volunteers!
Please bring your closed-toe shoes, gloves, hats, sunglasses, rakes, shovels, sunscreen and energy to spruce up our beloved science property!
If students need community service credit for work done, be sure to have a staff member sign your forms before you leave.
The Science Center is open to the community on weekdays and weekends (with special permit). Call to schedule.
In the near future, LAUSD Local District South will host community meetings to discuss the potential long-term use(s) of the center. Please submit your ideas to [email protected].
