Take a Bite If You Dare
Throughout the month of October, sink your fangs into one of the creepiest pizza pies you’ll ever see. This new bizarre menu item in honor of Halloween is available at Mickey’s Deli in Hermosa Beach.
This never-been-done-before creation features Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and a spooky black crust. Don’t be fooled by its burnt-like appearance; the pizza is actually very tasty. The black hue is created by kneading activated charcoal into Mickey’s fresh homemade dough. But don’t worry, in terms of flavor, activated charcoal doesn’t have much. Next, two types of cheese’s are added. This is Mickey’s first pizza to have multiple kinds of cheese’s! The Mozzarella provides a creamy mild taste, while the cheddar gives the pizza a balance of flavor and sharpness. To top it off, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos are baked on top, adding a bit of spice to every bite and perfectly complimenting the various flavors.
This Spicy Spooky Cheeto Pizza only comes in a size large and is served throughout the month of October. Make sure to visit Mickey’s and try it out before the month is over!

About Mickey’s Deli
The founder of the deli, Mickey, opened it in 1953 at the age 22 after he had saved up $2000 and took a small loan from his father. The deli quickly became a favorite among local surfers that loved Mickey’s infamous, “Sauce Sandwich,” because of its delicious flavor and affordability. After Mickey passed away in 2011, his son Paul took over the family business. Mickey’s Deli is known for their authentic Italian food including a variety of sandwiches, pizza, pastas, salads, and calzones.
