Bettolino Kitchen
One of the newest additions to the South Bay dining scene, Bettolino Kitchen delivers homemade pastas and fresh takes on Italian classics like duck breast risotto and braised veal cheeks. The Redondo Beach location in Riviera Village offers rustic, neighborhood charm that balances an airy modern design with beautiful salvaged wood.
Brother-and-sister team Vince Giuliano and Andreanna Liguore opened the restaurant with the help of Andreanna’s husband Sean Liguore. The duo’s great-grandparents opened Giuliano’s Deli, while their parents started Gaetano’s—both Italian stalwarts of the South Bay.

What is a Bettolino?
(Courtesy of Bettolino Kitchen’s website)
In Italy there are Ristorantes, Trattorias, Osterias, Pizzarias, and much more. These are all dining establishments, each different to some degree in nature. Before these dining establishments existed, there were Bettolino’s. Imagine it’s the early 1900’s and you are a traveler roaming from city to city in Italy. You come across a small village. In the village there are homes, trade shops and a Bettolino. You are hungry, so you walk in. It’s lively, people everywhere, the buzz of conversation and the smell of fresh cooked foods are present. The owner approaches you with a tall chalice of wine and a warm plate of food.
That same feeling is that of how we want you to feel when you walk in our doors. Today, they are non-existent in Italy, but the culture of serving great food and drink, accompanied with warm service exist in our small family run Bettolino in the Riviera Village.
Our History
In order to fully understand the Bettolino Story, we need to take you back to Gaetano’s story.
Vince Giuliano and Andreanna Giuliano Liguore grew up in a true South Bay food family. Their great grandparents Francis & Gaetano Giuliano opened locally loved Giuliano’s deli in the 1950’s. In the 90’s their parents then went on to open Gaetano’s Restaurant, where Vince and Andreanna spent most of their childhood. After college, both of them felt an urge to get back into the family biz, they couldn’t stay away. In 2010 Andreanna’s now husband Sean Liguore came to work for Gaetano’s. His knowledge of customer service and love for food and wine made him a perfect fit.
It has always been a dream of owners Vince, Sean and Andreanna to open their own modern Italian kitchen in the South Bay.
“We are so excited to join the Riviera Village and can’t wait for you to come and experience Bettolino Kitchen. Thank you for your interest and continued support.”
