San Pedro City Ballet
Cynthia and Patrick David Bradley established San Pedro City Ballet (SPCB) in 1994 as a not-for-profit dance company serving greater Los Angeles. SPCB performs The Nutcracker annually at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro as well as produces original modern works for a variety of venues throughout Southern California. SPCB also holds performance workshops through its outreach programs and allows underserved members of our community to see the company’s performances at no cost. Classes are taught throughout Los Angeles to expose children to the art of dance.
Superstar Misty Copeland was discovered by the Bradleys at age 13 through one of San Pedro City Ballet’s outreach programs. She trained at SPCB for four years before making history in 2015 when she became the first African-American female principal dancer at the prestigious American Ballet Theatre in New York.
