Historic Downtown San Pedro comes alive every 1st Thursday of the month! Art galleries and studios are open to the public from 6pm to 9pm. Shops are open late and live bands play on the corner of 6th Street and Mesa. Every First Thursday is a unique event with free music, dancing, and performances right on the street.
Meander the shops and galleries at your own pace or join the FREE one hour First Thursday Artwalk Tour which features a different itinerary each month, highlighting the diverse talents of local and visiting artists along the Arts District of Downtown San Pedro. The tour begins at the Chamber of Commerce Board Room Gallery (6:30 PM) and visits 2 or 3 galleries/studios each month. It provides an opportunity to hear from and talk to the artists and curators about their shows.
The picturesque downtown area features crisscrossing Tivoli lights, creating a fun and vibrate atmosphere. You can dine at one of the various restaurants with cuisines ranging from American to English, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian, Japanese, Hungarian, Thai, Organic Raw Vegan Cuisine and more. If you’re not in the mood for a restaurant, Gourmet Food Trucks line the streets along 6th, 7th and Mesa.
Parking is always free in the downtown area after 6:00 PM. The Red Car Trolley runs every First Thursday from 4 PM to 10 PM between Crafted and Downtown San Pedro. Find the current Trolley Route here.
