The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy hosts nature walks throughout the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Check our South Bay Events Calendar for upcoming events and hikes.

The Palos Verdes Land Conservancy harvests seeds that have grown for thousands of years right here on the Peninsula, and then raises them in the Conservancy’s nursery. Come be inspired by colorful, drought tolerant native plants that make fertilizers and insecticides virtually unnecessary, and require little or no water. Naturalists are on hand to give advice about the one gallon size pots ($8) and smaller sized pots ($5). Many of these species will attract butterflies and other pollinators to your yard.

View a premier example of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy‘s (PVPLC) restoration of coastal sage scrub habitat and stop at a former gun emplacement to learn about the military history of the area. Don’t miss the Nature Education Center with activities for the whole family. Moderate terrain.

^3rd Saturday outdoor walks are held year round for families, groups, and individuals.  Led by naturalists, historians, and geologists, all walks are family-oriented. Dogs on leash are welcome.  Wear walking shoes with good traction and sun protection. Bring water. In case of heavy rain, walks are cancelled. No reservations required.
