Wander along a willow filled canyon stream with coastal sage scrub restored habitat. Look down on the Peninsula’s rare Catalina Schist from one of the few places you can see the rock exposed.
Bring the children for an easy and educational walk in this beautiful canyon preserve. Our Naturalist will guide you through coastal sage and riparian woodland habitat to discover the unique variety of birds, mammals, reptiles and insects that make this urban wilderness their home. This walk concludes inside the Nature Education Center with a hands on exploration of our exhibits. Free and appropriate for all ages. Stroller friendly. Leashed dogs welcome. Reservations recommended. Easy to moderate.

Don’t miss the Nature Education Center with activities for the whole family. Moderate terrain.
3rd Saturday outdoor walks are held year round for families, groups, and individuals. Led by naturalists, historians, and geologists, all walks are family-oriented. Dogs on leash are welcome. Wear walking shoes with good traction and sun protection. Bring water. In case of heavy rain, walks are cancelled. No reservations required.
