The LA Conservancy brings its acclaimed Last Remaining Seats classic film series to the Warner Grand in San Pedro. About the Film
The year is 1868, and sailing ships are mysteriously disappearing in the South Seas. Paul Lukas, Peter Lorre, and Kirk Douglas star as the leaders of an expedition sent to investigate the “sea monster” responsible for the shipwrecks. When their ship is attacked, the three heroes are rescued/captured by Captain Nemo (James Mason), who takes them “20,000 leagues under the sea” and reveals to them the secrets of the “sea monster.” This Disney classic is based on the famous science fiction novel by Jules Verne.
