Santa Floats Through Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates
Santa Claus is coming to the South Bay, specifically Lomita, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Rolling Hills Estates. The Santa float will continue from 5:30pm – 9pm December 6 through December 20.
The visits are sponsored by and coordinated through the Lomita sheriff’s station. Children of all ages are invited to greet Santa and get a candy cane. A sheriff’s patrol car will precede Santa’s sleigh, announcing his arrival.
Here’s Santa’s schedule (weather permitting):
Dec. 6: Lomita — Pennsylvania Avenue, Hillworth Avenue, Saddleview Road, Esther View Road area.
Dec. 9: Westfield county area; Rolling Hills Estates on Larga Vista Drive and in the Montecillo tract.
Dec. 10: La Rambla county area near San Pedro, roughly bounded by Seventh, First and Meyler streets and Harbor View Avenue.
Dec. 11: Lomita — Walnut Avenue from Pacific Coast Highway to the Torrance border.
Dec. 12: Lomita — Area of Oak Street and Woodward and Narbonne avenues.
Dec. 13: Lomita — Lomita Pines area along streets surrounding the south end of Eshelman Avenue south of Pacific Coast Highway.
Dec. 15: Rancho Palos Verdes — Dodson Area (Montereina Drive, Avenida Aprenda, Pontevedra Drive, Toscanini Drive).
Dec. 16: Rancho Palos Verdes — Caddington and Strathmore areas.
Dec. 17: Rancho Palos Verdes — Crestwood Area (Jaybrook Drive, McArthur Street).
Dec. 18: Rancho Palos Verdes — Seaview area (Schooner, Exultant and Admirable drives), Forrestal area (Sea Raven and Phantom drives, etc.)
Dec. 19: Lomita — Viana Avenue, Cypress Street, Feijoa Avenue.
Dec. 20: Rain make-up date
