Every Tuesday, more than 45 food vendors line the street next to Metlox Plaza behind the Shade Hotel in downtown Manhattan Beach for the weekly farmers market 11am to 5pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day and 11am to 4pm in other months. Choose from fresh, locally-grown fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants. Enjoy a variety of artisan hot and prepared foods.
The Downtown Manhattan Beach Business Association is responsible for bringing the farmers market to Manhattan Beach every Tuesday. Their association consists of 200 + businesses that offer unique shopping, dining and personal professional services. They all work together to support & promote programs in the community associated with education, health and the environment. That is why 6 years ago, the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market was brought into downtown each week to offer healthy eating choices from local farms and vendors. Exhibitors each week will educate you on anything from nutrition, to physical therapy, to helping the environment to name a few.
There is parking below Metlox Plaza.
Join Wild Birds Unlimited for a fun guided walk with an expert birder. Try to spot a burrowing owl or listen for the call of the endangered gnat-catcher at White Point Preserve in San Pedro. All ages welcome. Binoculars supplied for beginners.
