    A 24,495-square foot mixed-use commercial and residential complex, currently in the preliminary development stages, could begin construction as early as next spring. The three-story complex called “Gaffey Street Apartments” will be located on the corner of Gaffey and Sepulveda Street at 335 N. Gaffey Street.

    The proposed development would feature retail spaces on the first floor and 28 residential units on the upper two levels. All the apartment units would include individual balconies. Parking would be located in a subterranean lot, with the entrance off Sepulveda Street. The building would also include a center atrium and a roof top lounge area.

    This proposed $1.5 million mixed-use complex would be Charles Company’s first project in San Pedro. Charles Company is a property developer based in West Hollywood with most previous projects consisting of mixed-use and apartment developments throughout Los Angeles County.
